For over 49 years garden time and the Troelstra family, Harry and sons; Frank, Fred, Eric and Jim have been providing beautiful plants, trees and shrubs, garden supplies, sheds, gazebos, furniture and more.
Garden Time prides itself on offering the largest selection of the highest quality product with excellent customer service. Garden Time’s story began in 1956 when Harry Troelstra and his wife emigrated from Holland. They began their life in America farming until 1967 when Harry purchased Ouderkerk’s garden center on Dix Avenue in Glens Falls, New York.
Within a few years the business had grown considerably, and by 1975 Harry moved the business to its current location on Quaker Road in Queensbury. In 1982 Harry and his family opened The Silo at exit 19 off interstate 87.
For over 40 years they have been serving fine food and gifts in the foothills of the Adirondacks. While the Queensbury location continued to grow, the family ventured north and east and in 1997 opened Garden Time locations in Whitehall and in 1998 expanded further into Rutland, Vermont.
Seeing exponential growth in their outdoor department featuring storage sheds, gazebos, horse barns, playsets, outdoor poly furniture, and more recently, modular homes and cabins; Garden Time added shed locations in Clifton Park in 2011 and 2012 Wilton, New York.

10-Year Limited Warranty
Here at Garden Time we stand behind our product and offer a 10 year Limited Warranty on our structures. This warranty covers your structure from any manufacturing defects that are not caused by normal wear and tear.
When used and maintained appropriately, Garden Time guarantees that our products will remain structurally sound. Normal wear and tear, fading of exterior surfaces, and general aging, which is common of any outdoor product that is exposed to natural elements, is not covered under warranty. As with a building which is located on top of the ground, settling may occur. You will also need to periodically clean, paint, caulk and keep vegetation from growing around the edges of your outdoor building which will cut off ventilation.

The Silo
In 1982 The Silo Country Store was born. At first, there was just a small area for breakfast and lunch, but as the popularity of its food grew, The Silo saw a series of changes to make room for more dining space, and the name officially became The Silo Restaurant and Country Store.
